School Safety & Security Summit

Harris County Department of Education, The Center for Safe and Secure Schools has been established for 25 years, focusing on a whole community approach to creating a safe and secure learning environment. The CSSS supports all schools districts , charters and other K-16 education institutions in and around Harris County. This session will focus on timelines and stakeholders that made the dream work with two successful functional exercises in the last two years.  Taking about dos and don’ts that can help safety leaders navigate any governmental entity.

Fentanyl Education & Training is designed to provide foundational information regarding opioid overdose prevention and response for school personnel. This training will also support school districts in implementing evidence-based opioid overdose prevention and response strategies in adherence to TAC 40.86 and TEC 38.221-5.
